Position Title: Patent Legal Assistant/Patent Paralegal (Part Time/Full-Time, In-Person/Hybrid)

Position Summary:

Agora Law Group, PLLC, is a firm that specializes in intellectual property. As a patent paralegal,

your general responsibilities will include providing support for legal and administrative

processes of the firm. Your duties will mainly include, but are not limited to: maintaining case

files, preparing legal documents, managing client communications, and providing support where

needed. Onboarding and training will be provided on site.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain docket and electronic patent matter files

- Assist in preparation/filing of patent applications, formal papers (oath, declaration,

assignment), official responses, and other correspondence with the United States Patent

and Trademark Office (USPTO)

- Assist with reporting USPTO correspondence to clients and preparing information

disclosure statements

- Assist with legal document processing: revising, editing, finalizing format/style in

compliance with appropriate requirements

- Communicate with clients and legal personnel

- Assist attorneys on tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- 1+ years of patent paralegal/legal assistant experience (training will be provided on site)

- Strong proofreading and organizational skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe

- Proficiency in Korean or Chinese (reading/writing) highly recommended/preferred

- Bachelor’s degree with science or engineering background

- Detail-oriented, highly productive

Position Details:

- Monday-Friday mornings, at least 15-20 hours/week in person

- $25-$45/hour based on qualifications and prior experience ($20-$25/hour during training

period)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Work Location: In person
