Cantor Colburn LLP, one of the largest full-service intellectual property law firms in the country, has an immediate opening for a Paralegal in our Trademark & Copyright Department.

This is a full-time position and will provide support to attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.

Duties include but not limited to:

o Electronic filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. Copyright Office, and with U.S. Customs and Border Protection

o Trademark clearance, application filing, application prosecution, registration, and post-registration maintenance for U.S. and international jurisdictions

o Prepare and record documents affecting the chain of title for U.S. and international trademarks

o Review and assessment of trademark and domain name watch notices.

o Assist with international opposition and cancellation proceedings

o Finalize and submit UDRP Complaints

o Prepare and manage client dockets

o Participation in complex projects as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
At least two years of trademark experience strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail

o Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing with the firm’s attorneys and clients

o Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work to meet all deadlines and client-deliverables expectations

o Strong MS Word and MS Excel skills including the ability to extract, manipulate, summarize and report on large quantities of data
