Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Counsel to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law. This role requires exceptional research and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to litigate effectively. The Counsel will provide legal advice, represent client in legal proceedings, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties

Conduct thorough research to support case preparation and legal arguments.
Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are represented.
Litigate cases in court as necessary, presenting evidence and arguments clearly and persuasively.
Stay updated on HR law regulations and other relevant legal developments impacting clients.
Manage legal administrative tasks efficiently to maintain organized case files and documentation.

Experience

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience in property law, patent law, or workers compensation law is preferred. Strong contract writing is desired.
Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
Excellent negotiation abilities with a track record of successful settlements.
Experience in litigation is highly desirable.
