Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in personal injury, medical malpractice, and/or wrongful death. This role requires exceptional legal research skills, proficiency in using legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis, and the ability to write clearly and persuasively. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for supporting our clients through all phases of litigation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
Assist in the negotiation of settlements and other agreements on behalf of clients.
Prepare for court appearances by organizing case files and developing trial strategies.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to analyze case facts and develop effective legal arguments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in environmental law, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and estate planning.
Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and gather necessary information.
Participate in depositions and hearings as needed, providing support to senior attorneys during litigation proceedings.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Arizona Bar
Strong understanding of litigation processes and procedures.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis is highly desirable.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of environmental law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, or estate planning is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
