Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team with a focus on matrimonial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years experience, have a strong understanding of various areas of law, including family law. This role is essential in supporting attorneys through the litigation process by managing case files, conducting legal research, and ensuring that all documentation is prepared accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents and filings for court cases.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies.
Transcribe legal documents, notes, and correspondence as required.
Maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in litigation while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Prepare trial binders and assist in trial preparation activities.
File documents with the court and ensure compliance with all procedural rules.
Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and timelines.

Skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficient in legal case management software and tools.
Knowledge of family law, patent law, securities law, and general litigation practices.
Excellent research skills with experience in legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis.
Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
