*Job Summary* The Chief Legal Officer will oversee all legal aspects of the organization, providing expert legal advice and guidance to senior management. This role requires a deep understanding of various legal areas to ensure compliance and mitigate risks effectively. *Duties* - Develop and implement legal strategies and objectives in alignment with the organization's goals - Provide legal counsel on a wide range of issues including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters - Manage and oversee the work of external legal counsel when necessary - Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations - Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and policies - Represent the organization in legal proceedings when required *Skills* - Proficiency in workers' compensation law, patent law, and other relevant legal areas - Strong research skills using tools like Westlaw - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective legal drafting and communication - Knowledge of tribal law regulations is a plus - Familiarity with family law and personal injury law is advantageous - Experience working in a law office environment

Pay: $68,648.00 - $78,648.00 per year
