Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
Draft and transcribe legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for attorneys.
Communicate with clients regarding case updates and gather necessary information.
Utilize PCLaw software for case management and billing purposes.
Support attorneys in various legal matters as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is preferred.
Familiarity with environmental law, immigration law, or patent law is a plus.
Proficiency in legal software is highly desirable.
Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all written materials.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
