As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team at our Overland Park, KS office.

This position is accountable for performing a variety of legal assignments, including providing assistance with contracts, real estate, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain competence in various legal and administrative areas
Assist in the preparation, organization, and maintenance of various documents required for various legal matters including the preparation and filing of annual reports for the company and its affiliates; documents to qualify the company and its affiliates to do business in various states or withdraw from various states; register fictitious, assumed and trade names; manage officer changes and affiliate minute books; and maintain the company’s hCue database
Perform research on various legal matters and draft legal memoranda
Generate and review standard agreements
Assist with real estate and litigation matters
Assist with immigration work, including communications with employees
Assist with merger and acquisition activity including support of due diligence and closing
Assist in obtaining and maintaining company’s intellectual property, including patent, trademark, and copyrights, and in securing or renewing licenses.
Maintain related files in an orderly manner; assist with overall records retention practices
Assist with departmental invoicing, budget and forecasting; manage certain subscriptions and services

Knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts gained through education and/or experience

Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
Receives instruction, guidance and direction

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree required (or the equivalent in work experience)
1-3 years’ relevant experience required
Paralegal certification preferred
