Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience with Intellectual Property as well as a Paralegal Certificate /Degree. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of intellectual property law and be adept at providing comprehensive support to attorneys in managing various aspects of intellectual property cases. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of trademark applications, patent applications, and copyright registrations.
Conduct thorough research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant legal information and case law.
Maintain organized files and documentation related to intellectual property cases, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for filings and respond to inquiries regarding their cases.
Stay informed about changes in intellectual property laws and regulations that may affect ongoing cases.

Requirements

Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, particularly in intellectual property law.
Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
