What you'll do...
Join the Intellectual Property team to support Walmart's global patent portfolio by maintaining dockets, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with US and foreign formality requirements. Collaborate with and assist patent attorneys, patent professionals, inventors, and the business segments with patent-related questions and generate dashboards and reports to track internal patent statistics using Anaqua.
You'll make an impact by...
- Supporting a global patent portfolio by applying expert knowledge and understanding of US and foreign patent prosecution practices and patent formalities
- Coordinating, supporting, and supervising outside counsel during all stages of patent prosecution and patent opinion work, including managing deadlines and facilitating signing and filing of documents
- Managing and maintaining an internal patent database, ensuring data quality, and generating dashboards and reports to track relevant patent statistics and metrics
- Establishing and maintaining internal best practices and procedures to support the company's patent program, including keeping and updating process documents and outside counsel guidelines
- Assisting patent attorneys and patent professionals on all matters related to the patent program
- Coordinating internal patent team meetings and patent committee meetings
- Responding to routine inventor and business inquiries related to patent status and patent metrics

- You have experience as a paralegal in the patents practice area
- You have experience with Anaqua or a similar IP management system
- You have a demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple deadlines
- You have familiarity with managing large dockets
- You prioritize attention to detail

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00-$63.00*
- The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or
otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR 3 years' experience as a paralegal, legal
analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR a juris doctorate degree from an
accredited law school.
