Intellectual Property Attorney - Litigation
Job Description
Our client, a large patent boutique, seeks an IP litigation attorney for their growing office. The successful candidate will have 3-9 years of Intellectual Property Litigation / IPR experience. Technical background in engineering or the life sciences area is preferred. The firm handles patent / trademark / copyright / trade secret litigation cases in a variety of technology areas. Additionally, our client has a very active Inter Partes Review (IPR) practice and frequently handles challenges before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. No portable business is required. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Candidate will represent firm clients in litigation proceedings, including trials, hearings, depositions and mediations. Firm offers a family friendly working environment and embraces the “work from home” model. This role can be fully remote unless depositions or trial preparation activities are required.
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to a State Bar. Admission to USPTO is preferred, but not required.
- Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Intellectual Property Litigation experience (defense or plaintiff).
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a demonstrated ability in analyzing and interpreting invention disclosure forms, patent applications & related drawings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
