Safeware, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Graphic Designer to support our busy marketing team. The Graphic Designer position works closely with the Director of Marketing and the entire marketing department to develop and design marketing resources supporting multiple brands and sales channels. This includes brand and logo development, corporate materials, website and social media graphics, digital, e-blasts, advertising and signage for the company, advertising for manufacturer partners, national promotions, flyers, brochures and more. The graphic designer is responsible for ensuring that our brand identities are accurately represented and carried out in everything we do. This is a high production position that must work at a fast pace and is able to adapt to changing schedules and meet tight deadlines. The employee is expected to possess the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to carry out these essential functions. The desired candidate may be requested to perform job-related responsibilities and tasks other than those stated in this job description. This position is in Lanham, Maryland, with the ability to work remotely.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create scalable marketing/design solutions, templates and processes to efficiently support the sales team
- Create and edit multiple market-based product catalogs
- Design sales literature, brochures and resources
- Build out graphics for multiple websites, social media, e-blasts and other digital needs
- Utilize photo editing software to create high quality market and product-based images and advertisements
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite design products, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, to create images of varying sizes for use in print and digital channels
- Create graphics and templates for company projects
- Create high resolution print quality graphics for advertisements
- Work with Director of Marketing on tradeshow graphics and imagery
- Work closely with Marketing Coordinator on sales team requests and branding assets
- Work with Social Media Coordinator on all social media imagery and advertisements
- Utilize Wordpress website platform to update web graphics and landing pages as needed
- Communicate with manufacturer representatives for marketing needs and brand guidelines
- Support each department with design needs
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and proper brand representation on all projects
- Updates and maintains Library’s brand style guide
- Uses Microsoft apps (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google docs
- Participates in staff meetings and work sessions
- Assist in other marketing duties as needed
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Certificate or Associate’s degree in graphic design; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years of consistent, successful graphic design experience may substitute for degree
- A strong portfolio with outstanding digital and print design work that demonstrates abilities
- A strong understanding of design principles and proven ability to produce compelling digital and print designs
- Highly developed skills using Adobe Creative Suite products, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD and Acrobat Pro
- Experience in Microsoft Office Products
- Experience in Social Media advertising and imagery
- Ability to organize, plan, and maintain schedule of deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of website platform, Wordpress
- Some HTML or other website coding experience a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Strong ability to work both as part of a team and independently
