Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using various online tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Assist in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
- Manage and organize legal documents using iManage or similar software
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately
- Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings
- Assist in project management tasks related to case files
- Familiarity with Tribal law regulations and Patent law is a plus
-Answering phones and assisting clients daily required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of legal terminology, principles, and practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Degree in Paralegal studies or related field is preferred
- Proficiency in legal drafting and research techniques
- Knowledge of Apple Computers and quickbooks preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
