Job Summary
We are a law firm of 150 team members. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including patent law and tribal law regulations. This role requires exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to effectively litigate cases in court. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal proceedings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and providing comprehensive legal advice.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including trials and hearings.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies.
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
Collaborate with legal administrative staff to ensure efficient case management.
Prepare for court appearances by organizing evidence and witness testimonies.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.

Experience

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience in litigation, with a focus on patent law preferred.
Strong understanding of tribal law regulations is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective advocacy.
Proficiency in legal research methodologies and tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a law office environment.
