Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney with 3-7 years of experience to join its Intellectual Property & Technology litigation practice. Remote or hybrid work location is an option. In-office location is flexible and candidates will be considered in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Wilmington Delaware, Dallas, Denver, New York, Washington DC, and San Francisco. A technical background is strongly preferred and an undergraduate or higher degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and intellectual property (primarily patent) litigation experience. The candidate also will preferably be admitted before the USPTO and preferably have at least some experience in other types of intellectual property litigation, such as copyright, trademark, and trade secrets litigation, or other technology-related business litigation.
Qualified candidates will have experience in various aspects of patent infringement litigation (e.g., development of strategies, conducting discovery, preparing infringement and invalidity contentions, claim construction/Markman, depositions, technical and damages expert witness reports, preparing for trial, etc.). Trial experience is not required but would be valued. Candidates must have strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
