Salary: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day prosecution dockets and prepare USPTO filings ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
- Conduct thorough patent and trademark searches, prepare clear and detailed clearance opinions/advice, and craft strategic responses to office actions.
- Negotiate and draft robust IP transaction and software agreements to protect client interests.
- Provide comprehensive IP due diligence for M&A transactions, meticulously preparing and reviewing related documentation.
- Maintain effective communication with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality legal solutions.
- Collaborate with other lawyers within the firm to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York.
- 2-5 years of experience in patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions.
- Excellent academic credentials with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and practical judgment.
- Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and provide effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- USPTO registration number or eligibility for the patent bar strongly preferred.
- Experience negotiating and drafting intellectual property transactions and software agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in handling a high-volume IP docket with strategic problem-solving capabilities.
