As one of our Associate Patent Agents or Patent Engineers at Thompson Patent Law (TPL) you will be an A-Team Player on our team responsible for drafting and prosecuting Litigation Quality Patents, and supporting the retention of long-term, quality clients by executing orchestrated production systems to fulfill clients’ needs and expectations.

Essential Duties:
- Preparing and drafting provisional and non-provisional patent applications.
- Responding to communications (e.g., Office Actions) from the USPTO.
- Managing docket, meeting deadlines, and delivering results.
Education & Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience drafting patent applications related to Electrical, Medical Device, and Software.
- Must have EE/ECE/CS or equivalent degree in BioMedical/Health Sciences and/or Regulatory
- Minimum 3.2 of 4.0 GPA – no exceptions
- Registration with the US Patent Office
- 2-4 years of experience preferred; all associates will be trained in Litigation Quality PatentTM process
- Must be available Monday through Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm Central Time Zone)
- U.S. Citizenship
