About the Role:
Are you a business-minded attorney with a proactive approach to legal risk management and expertise in contracts and corporate governance? As General Counsel, you will be a key member of our executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO/President. In this pivotal role, you will guide our legal strategy and operations, ensuring the company remains compliant while fostering sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all corporate legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide senior leadership with strategic legal advice on corporate governance and business operations.
- Manage internal legal functions, including budgeting, and oversee the activities of outside counsel.
- Lead complex contractual negotiations with third-party suppliers, lenders, franchisees, employees, and partners.
- Draft and review contracts, including franchise agreements, employment contracts, leases, and agreements related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, addressing legal challenges proactively and with a business-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar licensure.
- Experience: At least 5 years of in-house experience, with expertise in franchise , preferred.
Skills:
- Proven ability to provide strategic legal guidance in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, including franchise, employment, and supplier agreements.
- Proactive, business-minded approach to legal risk management.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to commute to or relocate to Noblesville, IN 46061 before starting work (required).
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (preferred).

Pay: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
