Description
We are a prestigious law firm specializing in intellectual property and antitrust in Austin, Texas. We are seeking a skilled and experienced IP Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in intellectual property law, with a strong preference for those with patent litigation experience. Candidates with experience in other types of technology and commercial litigation will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of intellectual property litigation, including patent litigation.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records.
- Coordinate with clients, experts, and witnesses.
- Prepare for and assist during trials and hearings.
- Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law and related fields.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal in intellectual property law.
- Strong preference for candidates with patent litigation experience.
- Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in technology and commercial litigation.
- Familiarity with patent prosecution and trademark matters.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
