Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of legal terminology and procedures. This role is essential in supporting attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. Familiarity with various legal research tools and project management will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, appointments, and correspondence.
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs with attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records of case files using iManage or similar document management systems.
- Assist in project management tasks related to ongoing cases, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
- Stay informed about Tribal law regulations and Patent law to assist with relevant cases effectively.
- Collaborate with paralegals and other team members to ensure seamless workflow within the office.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with legal standards.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or legal department.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, research methodologies, and familiarity with patent law is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of document management systems such as iManage is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to transcribe accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project management tools will be beneficial for this role.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing environments is essential.

Pay: $20.69 - $21.94 per hour
