Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including family law, personal injury law, and patent law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to providing high-quality support to attorneys and clients.

Duties

Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw to gather relevant case law and statutes.
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing documents and evidence.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather information pertinent to cases.
Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records of case files.
Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal ethics.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal administrative role.
Strong knowledge of family law, personal injury law, and patent law is preferred.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently.
Strong proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the legal profession.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
