Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology, with experience in various areas of law, particularly in the areas of family law. Must have experience in the e-filing system in Florida, and in interacting and communicating with clients. This role is crucial in providing support to attorneys, ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with legal research and case preparation.
Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including contracts and pleadings.
Manage case files and maintain organized records using legal case management software.
Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate documentation of case information.
Conduct research using Lexis-Nexis and other legal databases.
Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Ensure compliance with court deadlines and filing requirements.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, particularly in patent law and personal injury law.
Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in data entry and legal drafting.
Familiarity with legal case management software is preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
