Job Summary
DiNovo Price LLP, a patent and antitrust litigation law firm in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Technical Advisor to work as a contractor for its Patent Litigation practice.

Candidate will be primarily responsible for, but not limited to:

providing technological guidance to attorneys in analyzing patent infringement (i.e. comparing infringing products to the claims of a patent asserted in litigation)
analyzing prior art (i.e., comparing earlier patents, publications, and products to the claims of a patent asserted in litigation)
reviewing source code
analyzing claim charts (i.e., charts that compare the characteristics of infringing products to the elements of the claims of a patent asserted in litigation)

Guidance provided by the candidate will be used to: prepare lawsuits filed in federal court, prepare witnesses for testimony in depositions and at trial; prepare attorneys to examine witnesses at depositions and at trial; and prepare written reports of technical expert witnesses.

Experience with patent infringement litigation or patent prosecution is helpful, though not required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree preferred) in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Detail oriented, organized & team oriented
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to multi-task independently under deadlines, and prioritize and manage case assignments
Ability to effectively present information and professionally respond to questions
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to recognize inefficiencies in work process and contribute to improvements
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity
Computer self-sufficient (complete Microsoft Office Suite)
Proficiency with specialized software and online programs as required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
