Our client, a well-established and expanding law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking to hire a skilled Legal Assistant specialized in Intellectual Property for a full-time position. This firm is located in the vibrant downtown area of Austin and this role requires working in the office on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with attorneys to prepare and submit trademark, copyright, and patent applications.
Perform trademark searches and assess results for potential conflicts.
Maintain and organize intellectual property files, ensuring accuracy and keeping them up to date.
Create and review legal documents, such as agreements, correspondence, and reports.
Track deadlines for filings and renewals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist in crafting responses to office actions and other communications with regulatory bodies like USPTO.
Conduct research on intellectual property laws, trends, and industry best practices.
Act as a liaison with clients and external counsel concerning IP matters.
Provide support for the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including assisting in litigation support as needed.
Generate reports and summaries for attorneys and clients.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years or more of experience as a paralegal, focusing on intellectual property law.
Familiarity with IP databases and software.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
