Trustpoint One is pleased to partner with a top-tier law firm in its search for a Registered Patent Agent with an Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or Physics background. The position may be located in any of the following locations: Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, San Antonio, San Francisco, St. Louis, or Washington, DC.
Patent Agent Responsibilities:
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications;
- Collaborate with inventors to understand new AI technologies and assess their patentability;
- Conducting and analyzing the results of prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses;
- Maintaining knowledge of the latest AI technology and patent laws in order to assist internal and external.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics or related technical field involving AI/ML;
- Experience with AI models, neural networks, deep learning required;
- Must have experience with AI/ML theory – backpropagation, regularization, optimization; preprocessing data, selecting features, training/tuning models; and deploying models to production environments.
- Domain experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, wireless communications, computer vision or related AI fields is preferred;
- Experience liaising with clients to develop and manage portfolios is preferred;
- Registered to practice with the USPTO;
- Attorney candidates should also be an active member and in good standing of their home office bar or eligible to waive into the appropriate bar.

Pay: $170,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
