Electroninks is quickly expanding and is seeking an experienced, part-time IP Specialist (Patent Agent) to join our team! The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has strong communication skills, and is highly organized.
In this role, you will perform a variety of IP Strategy duties, including but not limited to, the preparation and prosecution of patents, regularly interacting with our IP counsel, and close communication with our internal technical team. To be successful in this role, you will have a working knowledge of drafting patents, IP licensing, and a good understanding of metal deposition chemistries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file patent applications with the USPTO, including direct filings, National Stage filings, and Designs
- Analyze patentability of chemistries/inventions
- Manage intellectual property projects
- Manage trademark matters, as needed
- Assist with preparation and filing of responses to trademark office actions
- Assist with IP litigation and disputes, including patent, trademark, copyright and other matters
- Collaborate with R&D team members, business development, and executives to create IP strategies that support business goals
- Adhere to relevant laws and regulations and maintain accurate records of all patent-related activities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, preferred, or an adjacent field with a minimum of 2 years relative experience.
- Must have at least 2 years of full-time claim drafting and prosecutions experience.
- USPTO required.
- Familiarity with electronic filing systems and paperless docketing
- Experience in semiconductor or advanced materials
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PowerPoint
