Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including patent law, family law, and personal injury law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to transcribe and proofread legal documents, and proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw. The Paralegal will support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings while ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation and organization of legal documents for court filings and client meetings.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support case preparation.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
- Transcribe legal documents, notes, and other materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to ongoing cases.
- Proofread documents for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Provide clerical support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Assist in the drafting of contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patent law, family law, personal injury law, and general legal administrative procedures.
- Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to extract pertinent information from clients and witnesses.
- Proficiency in using Westlaw for legal research purposes.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal are essential for effective collaboration within the team.

Pay: $55,561.00 - $60,641.00 per year
