Jacobs & Jacobs Injury Law Group, a well-established and growing firm with one of the largest client bases in Pierce County, presents a remarkable opportunity for attorneys with civil litigation experience.
Our firm is dedicated to top legal representation and unrivaled client service in a first-rate team environment and is seeking a Litigation Attorney to become part of that team.
You will represent clients throughout the arbitration process, and will be responsible for a full caseload, which will include a variety of injury claims, depending on your experience.
We are seeking someone who will take independent responsibility for managing their caseload, with the assistance of our team of paralegals and legal assistants.
Your knowledge of relevant tort law, court rules and procedures, and excellent time management and organizational skills will be required.
Duties & Qualifications:
· minimum of 1-2 years of experience doing personal injury litigation is ideal.
· Evaluate cases for merit and value.
· Manage own caseload and handle cases from start to finish.
· Have a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Take and handle depositions.
· Prepare for mediation and arbitration.
· Investigate facts and interview witnesses.
· Research and write complaints, demand letters, mediation briefs, motions, and trial briefs.
· Research and work with experts to support liability and damages.
· Communicate well with clients and keep them updated on their case status.
· Understand the law related to torts, insurance, and damages.
