Job Summary
The Paralegal will primarily support Integer’s attorneys on a wide variety of matters. The Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing and drafting documents, performing legal research, facilitating business transactions, and assisting with managing and ensuring the Company’s compliance with its legal and contractual obligations, and other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct legal research and drafting as requested
Works closely with in-house and outside counsel to support prosecution and maintenance of domestic and foreign patents
Maintain legal department document files as necessary
Send documents and process payments for recording or filing
Assists in drafting legal documents including Patent Office correspondence, power of attorney forms, affidavits and declarations
Interacts extensively with business groups to obtain invention disclosure information and other documentation
Supports intellectual property litigation and due diligence projects
Conducts legal research
Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs
Provide support on Mergers & Acquisitions
Respond to requests for information
Build positive relationships with outside counsel and internal clients
Provide administrative support for attorney(s)
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Education & Experience:

Minimum Education: B.A. degree preferred / Paralegal certification preferred
Minimum Experience: 3+ years’ work experience as a paralegal in an in-house/corporate law department. 5-7 years of experience in intellectual property, patent paralegal, or related work preferred.

Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure, prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates
Excellent at multi-tasking
Anticipate support needs of attorneys across a variety of corporate legal matters
Self-motivated and proven ability to work effectively in independent settings
Manage various legal department projects and initiatives
Identify and resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner
Ability to analyze, solve problems, and adapt to constantly changing priorities and organizational and operational needs
Ability to use good judgment, maintain confidential information, be discreet and highly trustworthy, and demonstrate ethical conduct
Excellent written and verbal communication, time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills with close attention to detail
Ability to provide superior customer service to internal clients at various levels and effectively partner cross-functionally
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with electronic billing systems
Ability to learn new software programs
Positive attitude and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team

Strong understanding of contract drafting
Understanding of patent docketing
Domestic and foreign patent renewal
Litigation discovery
IP Due diligence
Law firm invoicing U.S. Patent Office Rules, and Secretary of State procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
