Candidates must have IP experience with drafting and patent prosecution, a mechanical engineering degree (advanced degrees and/or work experience prior to law school strongly preferred), and USPTO membership. Candidates also should have familiarity with machinery, mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems. IP transactional experience also is a plus. Associates will have 4 or more years of experience. If based in Houston, associates must be licensed to practice law in Texas or have the ability to become licensed as soon as possible. If based in Atlanta, associates must be licensed to practice law in Georgia. Patent agents must have 5 or more years of experience.
Responsibilities include all aspects of global portfolio strategy and management, including obtaining IP rights in the US and abroad. We seek candidates who are driven, possess a desire to develop and invest in their careers and the Firm, desire to work with a national/international client platform, and demonstrate superior client service ability. Candidates must have outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and strong organizational and analytical abilities.
