IP COUNSEL – PRODUCT DESIGN & USER INTERFACE / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Multiple Locations (Preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis)
A renowned AmLaw 100 national law firm is currently looking for a highly qualified and enthusiastic IP Counsel to join their Product Design & User Interface Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This opportunity is available in all firm offices, with a preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate:
- Successful completion of Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school with an outstanding academic record (for Counsel applicants).
- Bar Admission in Georgia, Illinois, District of Columbia, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, or Arizona, as applicable (for Counsel applicants).
- Must be Admitted to the USPTO (required for both Counsel and Patent Agent candidates).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
- Background in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science is a must.
- Extensive experience in a law firm, engineering, or relevant industry with exceptional communication and writing skills.
- Preference for experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Software-related technologies
- Artificial intelligence-related technologies
- IoT, networking, and related technologies
- Quantum technologies
Main Responsibilities:
- Draft and file patent applications related to product design and user interface technologies.
- Collaborate with a skilled team of attorneys and agents to deliver cutting-edge patent prosecution services.
- Provide strategic patent advice to clients and ensure successful patent filings in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
