IP Specialist

Our client, a prestigious worldwide law firm, is on the lookout for an experienced professional to join their Denver offices in a hybrid work setup.

- Demonstrating proficiency in LegalKey, CompliGuard Flow, inTapp, Document Management systems, and Microsoft programs, or quickly learning these tools.
- Possessing comprehensive knowledge of domestic and foreign intellectual property processes and policies, particularly in utility patents, design patents, and trademarks.
- Utilizing various IP databases such as ePCT, USPTO, Espacenet, and WIPO.
- Drafting shell amendments for attorney use in response to domestic and foreign actions.
- Tracking and managing IP dockets and deadlines using CPi.
- Generating and managing client portfolios, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Opening and maintaining new patent matters, including complete prosecution history documentation.
- Handling the generation and filing of Information Disclosure Statements (IDSs), requiring strong research skills to obtain necessary non-patent literature documents and foreign publications.
- Reviewing issued patents and registered trademarks for errors.
- Drafting reporting letters for attorney review and circulating them to clients after approval.
To thrive in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree, along with a paralegal certificate. Additionally, a billing requirement of 750 hours per year is expected.
