Job Overview
We are looking for patent agents with expertise in the areas of renewable energy, electrical engineering, software, computer systems, electro-mechanical systems, medical imaging, optical systems, scanners, medical devices, microfluidics and related technologies to join our growing practice. As a Patent Agent, you will play a crucial role in assisting with legal research, drafting patent applications, and supporting attorneys in various legal matters related to intellectual property law.
Duties
- Assist in drafting and filing patent applications and conduct prior art searches
- Review and analyze technical documents for patent filings
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare responses to office actions
- Support attorneys in litigation involving intellectual property matters
- Strong background in legal research and drafting
- Knowledge of patent laws and regulations
- Familiarity with intellectual property law
- Experience in conducting legal administrative tasks
- Areas of expertise, include renewable energy, software, computer systems, electro- mechanical systems, medical imaging, optical systems, scanners, medical devices, microfluidics and design patents. is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
