Job Title: Patent Paralegal

Job Description:
Join our global patent litigation team that handles highly complex and critically important litigations that protect GSK's valuable intellectual property rights and its marketed products. We are seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to contribute to our efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project managing patent litigation (including Hatch-Waxman/ANDA, BPCIA and traditional litigation) and will be responsible for the oversight and management of all case files and logistics from pre-complaint through appeal. This role requires an individual with project management skills, who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversight and project management of case files and logistics of patent litigation from pre-complaint through appeal.

Assist with all stages of litigation, including litigation holds, document collections, reviewing and summarizing documents, and managing document management systems in coordination with litigation support.

Assist the litigation team with retrieval of patents, prior art, and file histories.

Conduct interviews with employees and fact witnesses to gather relevant information.

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Manage all aspects of eDiscovery/document processes, including collection, tracking, and quality control with minimal supervision.

Assist the litigation team with the management and preparation of document productions, including significant experience with Relativity or equivalent tools for searching, data promotion, export, and reporting.

Maintain case files, ensuring that all documents are accurate and up-to-date.

Manage court docket calendar and provide case status updates.

Exhibit strong organizational, time-management, investigative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Review and collaborate with attorneys and other paralegal staff concerning the application of Federal and Local Rules, eDiscovery stipulations, and/or Protective Orders, providing information and/or suggestions to attorneys.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required

7 + years’ experience as a litigation paralegal

7 + years’ experience with litigation document review databases, case management databases, and e-discovery software.

Experience with common legal research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with United States Patent and Trademark Office Post Grant Proceedings and/or International Trade Commission 337 Investigations is a plus.

Experience in Hatch-Waxman/ANDA/BPCIA litigation is strongly desired.

Understanding of electronic filings and familiarity with Federal and Local court rules
