Our Summer Associate Program serves as a cornerstone not just for the recruitment of outstanding associates, but for the future success of our firm. During the program, summer associates in each of our U.S. offices have the opportunity to work on several projects with different lawyers in a variety of practice areas. Summer Associates also observe and, when possible, assist in trials, hearings, depositions, and negotiations, and participate in client meetings and closings. IP candidates should also meet the hiring criteria for the office in which they are interested:
New York – Seeking candidates with an undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in either the life or physical sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, biochemistry, engineering or similar). Students with outstanding academic credentials, superior writing skills and scientific or engineering degree or demonstrated competency are preferred.

Palo Alto – Seeking candidates with a demonstrated interest in litigation and intellectual property. Students with outstanding academic credentials, superior writing skills, technical work experience, and strong ties to the Bay Area are preferred. A technical degree (electrical engineering or computer science) is not required, but is of interest.
- Washington D.C. – Seeking candidates with an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science. Students with outstanding academic credentials, superior writing skills, and technical work experience are preferred.
The salary wage that we expect to pay for this position is $4,327 per week.
